Slip into Stillness and become new again

Winter Water Rebirth

A full-day hot spring retreat on the eve of Lunar New Year

Tuesday, January 28, 2025
8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

From Salt Lake to Maple Grove Hot Spring in Idaho

A nurturing field trip of deep self-care and connection

Imagine a day away from the to-do list, where time slows down and you are held in a sacred embrace by water, warmth, and the power of community. A deep-dive into being loved on for a full day and having the opportunity to start fresh.

Hosted by the Warm Springs Alliance in collaboration with Maple Grove Hot Springs, this exclusive event offers the perfect mid-winter pause: a soulful blend of healing waters, gentle movement, mindful connection, and nourishing community.

Throw that older skin into the water.

Give it to the sky.

Step into what wants to emerge now.

Nothing can hold you back when you are willing to be yourself.

~ Jeannette Encinias

The Journey

We’ll start the day all together for a relaxed road trip north to Maple Grove hot spring with warm, meaningful conversation as we get to know each other.

Sacred Water Gathering

After we arrive and get the lay of the land (which is gorgeous), we’ll slip into the soothing embrace of natural mineral hot spring pools, surrounded by the snow-kissed landscape on the banks of the Bear River.

Together, we’ll open with a circle of gratitude and intention-setting, honoring the sacred water and the land that sustains us.

Float into Serenity

Everyone will get to experience the magic of an individual *float session from professional aquatic body workers following the tradition of Watsu and Healing Dance. This is an immersive meditative experience that can be deeply relaxing, and amazingly life-changing as you let the warmth of the water melt away stress and flowing movement unlocks a deeper sense of peace and clarity.

* There’s no need to know how to swim, as you’ll be fully supported with your face above the water throughout your floating session.

Here’s how most people describe their experience:

“As my body danced in the water, everything seemed to melt away. My mind fell silent and I was existing in an effortless place.”

“I felt completely held in love as barriers dissolved and I didn’t know where my body ended and the water began.”

“Profoundly relaxing and deeply peaceful”

“I cried because it was such a beautiful release. I strongly recommend this to anyone who would like to try it. It could change your life like it did for me.”

“The effect physically and psychologically is that it sends you into an incredibly deeply relaxed place that most people never reach.”

“It was magical. You go on a journey into yourself feeling really comforted and weightless.”

“It felt like an absolute rebirth… like I was being born into the world again without all the screaming and yelling…and bright lights…as if I was one with the water…floating in an unparalleled universe.”

A day to tend your soul

Held by water and earth in the quiet of winter, we’ll slow way down with plenty of time to unwind and reflect. With heart-guided conversations, and creative prompts, you’ll reconnect with your inner self and other deepening souls in this day of immersion that includes the swan, geese and deer that often visit during the pool experience.

Receive the gifts of Lunar New Year

Just as the Lunar New Year invites us to embrace fresh beginnings and let go of the past, Winter Water Rebirth offers a profound opportunity to align with the season’s energy, to set intentions, cleanse your spirit, and step into the year ahead with clarity and purpose.

Integration & Renewal

Enjoy nourishing meals, quiet moments in the yurt, and powerful practices like sound healing, mindfulness, and group toning. This is a space to release, integrate and renew—body, mind, and spirit.

Last night as I was sleeping,
I dreamt—marvelous error!—
that a spring was breaking
out in my heart.
I said: Along which secret aqueduct,
Oh water, are you coming to me,
water of a new life
that I have never drunk?
