Let’s strengthen the bonds that hold us together
Warm Springs has been a peaceful gathering place for centuries.
We’re working to bring it back to life…AND…this isn’t just about bringing back a hot spring. It’s about bringing us back to each other, back to our connection with nature and back to our kinder selves, right now––even though the hot spring isn’t open to us yet.
In this time of tension and disconnection, we’re creating a warm welcome where everyone can feel seen, appreciated, and inspired—as we dream together about what’s possible for this amazing place.
It’s more than some community events; it’s an invitation to create the kind of community we want to live in.
We’d love you to join us!

Meet Your Hosts
Sylvia Nibley
Sylvia, founder of the Warm Springs Alliance, has been a healing practitioner, community builder, and group facilitator for more than 35 years. She loves creating welcoming spaces where people can connect more deeply with themselves, each another, and the places they share, where transformation can ripple from one heart to many.
Mary Ness
For nearly three decades, Mary has championed community wellness and helped bring people together around meaningful causes. As the Alliance’s event manager, she has brought many Warm Springs gatherings to life and is deeply committed to realizing the dream of a revitalized hot springs facility for Salt Lake City.
Together, Mary and Sylvia will guide playful connection experiences, collaborative art activities, and walking tours of the park—inviting new experiences—and imagining what Warm Springs could become.
Voices of Warm Springs: A One-Hour Choir
Thursday, Sept 10th at 6:00
Come as you are and add your voice! In this joyful, no-pressure circle, we’ll learn a simple group arrangement of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” then bring our voices together for a video recording to share on social media. No auditions, choir experience, or perfection required—just a willingness to sing, connect, and create together. Every voice belongs, and together we’ll make something beautiful.
Walking Tour
Thursday, Sept 10th at 6:45pm
Saturday, Sept 12th at 11:45am
Sunday, Sept 13th at 4:45pm
Saturday, Oct 3rd 3:00pm
Connect with the land, the water, the history and the unique potential of this amazing place. This is a walk outdoors. The historic bathhouse is not open…yet. Bring comfortable shoes for the tour (half hour around the north side of the park at a slight incline to where the warm water is bubbling up)
Play with Your Food
Sunday, Sept 13th at 3:30
Who says you shouldn’t play with your food? Choose a fruit or vegetable, discover the art hiding inside it. Maybe even bring it to life with a face, a name, and a little personality. Then team up with someone new and imagine what might happen when your creations meet! No artistic talent needed—just curiosity and and your silly self. Come laugh, create, and discover how quickly a shared spark of imagination can turn strangers into friends.
Intuitive Yoga with Lin Ostler

She weaves yoga, Tai Chi, song, and doula work into her teaching with private clients and in workshops locally & nationwide. At Warm Connections, Lin invites us to come home to our bodies, one another, and the natural world.
Creating and Growing Connections with Cassie Power
Feeling connected—to ourselves and to one another—is an essential part of a healthy life. The World Health Organization defines health as physical, mental, and social well-being, but also acknowledges that social health is often overlooked. In the busyness of everyday life, meaningful connection can be surprisingly hard to find. In these two welcoming, interactive gatherings, Cassie Power will help us move beyond small talk, build genuine connections, and discover simple ways to nurture the relationships that matter most.
Cassie (she/her) is a social psychologist and community engagement professional devoted to creating more equitable, connected communities. She holds a Ph.D. in social psychology and women’s studies from the University of Michigan and brings more than 15 years of experience as a professor, equity educator, and facilitator of meaningful learning.
Creating Connections – Sunday, September 13 at 4:00 p.m
Move beyond the usual small talk and experience what can happen when we slow down and truly listen to one another. You’ll begin by connecting more deeply with one person, then come together with the group to share discoveries and gather insights from the experience. The activities will be gently structured, welcoming, and easy to follow. Whether you’re introverted or extroverted, socially confident or a little uncertain—or somewhere in between—you’ll be supported just as you are.
Growing Connections – Saturday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m
How do we help a new connection grow—or breathe fresh life into a relationship we already value? Together, we’ll explore practical, approachable ways to strengthen relationships of all kinds. We’ll practice what helps connection flourish, what sometimes gets in the way, and identify simple steps we can bring into our own lives.
Walk Gently on the Earth with Jae Gruenke
How to soften your footsteps to connect your body, your community, and Mother Earth
Saturday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m.
What if walking gently were something you could feel—not just an idea? In this easy, non-strenuous movement lesson, you’ll use the Feldenkrais Method of Movement Education® to deepen your connection with the ground, improve balance, and discover greater ease in walking.
The lesson is done *seated and is suitable for anyone who can sit upright and follow movement instructions, including people with joint pain or mild injuries. Wear flexible, thin-soled shoes—or enjoy the lesson barefoot, weather permitting.
Jae is a Feldenkrais practitioner and founder of The Balanced Runner™. Since 2003, she’s helped people—from everyday walkers to Olympic athletes—to feel good and move with greater ease by working with their bodies instead of fighting against them.
* A firm chair or bench is needed. A few will be available, but please bring a folding chair if you can.
